As I enjoy recreating detail, I chose to recreate the faces of cats in close-up. Those shown here are in watercolour but there is also another that can be viewed among my pencil drawings.

The variety in nature never ceases to amaze humankind. From the smallest insect to the largest mammal, we as humans are intrigued.

For an artist, the possibilities are endless. And yet, any reproduction in paint or pencil will never match the original.

My love of detail once gain shines through in these paintings of butterflies.

In 2011, I decided to illustrate a picture book for children about kittens. The idea was to portray the different activities that kitten's enjoy and that are a source of entertainment for all.

Once again I chose watercolour as the medium and each image was painted in A3 format. A simple line of text was written to accompany each painting.

The book was published simultaneously in French and English.

The images below represent a selection of the paintings by and, in addition to the books, are available as Postcards and Prints.

Heart-shaped designs inspired from foliage found in nature. Drawn in Sepia Ink Pen or painted in Watercolour.

In this section are a number of individual paintings around the theme of my home country of France - Paris, fashion, etc. The intricacy of reproducing leather texture or a gold effect; the detail of the structure of the Eiffel Tower, were all challenges that I have never before encountered with watercolour, but I am happy with the results.

In 2011, I began a project to write and illustrate a book for children. The objective was to encourage the reader to get to know many common birds. The text was written in an informative, yet easy-flowing manner that would appeal to children and adults alike.

A series of watercolour paintings were created to accompany each section of text. Whilst accuracy was important, I endeavoured to maintain a certain naivety in order to educate without adopting the approach of an encyclopedia.

My first book was initially published in French and subsequently translated to English. A second children's book about birds was published in 2013, and is uniquely available in French.

Further examples of my paintings of birds are here.
